The Easy Snippet Feedback Edit (ESF Edit) is an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for developing small programs that generate feedback texts. The user interface is divided into four areas:

  1. The main menu is arranged as a menu bar at the top of the window. It provides access to all the program's administrative functions: saving and loading, creating content pages, compiling finished programs, etc ...
  2. The content tree contains all content items that are included in the current project. Pages can be marked for further editing or testing. Content pages can also be renamed here or set as the main page.
  3. The work area is in the middle. Here the content pages are displayed and can be edited. For each content page, a tab is displayed with its name at the top. The tab of the currently displayed page is highlighted in color. The area below the tab is used for the actual programming with the help of the visual programming language.
  4. On the right-hand side the toolbar for programming is located. It contains all the elements of the visual programming language. The elements are called Snippets. A snippet is marked with a click of the left mouse button. A subsequent right-click in the work area (3) lets appear the selected element there.
